Crosscountry skiing Dobbiaco, well known as a cross country skier’s paradise and the venue for international world cup races. Whether you are training for a skiing marathon, want to test your limits on the FIS standard cross country runs or prefer to ski on an evening on our illuminated night-time runs, we have just the right route to suit your every mood. Dobbiaco’s cross country stadium is there for beginners to practice in and is the starting point of several cross country routes.
Skiing - Snowboard - Carving The world famous downhill run Pista Olympia in Cortina is only a few kilometres from Dobbiaco just as the ski resort of Plan de Corones can be easily reached within 30 minutes.
Embedded into the Dolomites is the ski resort of the Alta Pusteria Valley with its five villages of Sesto, San Candido, Dobbiaco, Villabassa and Braies.
The largest skiing area Monte Elmo can be reached by cable railway from Versciaco or using the panorama cable railway in Sesto.
The family friendly ski resorts of Monte Baranci, Croda Rossa and the Dobiaco ski area Rienz are best suited for children, but also ski experts will enjoy them. All lift facilities are linked with the ski bus.
